Which Glasses Suit Your Child?

Finding the right glasses

The most important thing when choosing glasses is, of course, that they fit well and that your child actually likes them. When glasses look good on a child and they enjoy wearing them, they feel confident and comfortable, and they're happy to keep them on. Whether you go for a round or angular shape, or a grass-green or pink colour, if your child loves their glasses and feels good in them, then they're the right pair!

Be sure to check out our guide to colours and shapes, too.

What's your colour type?

Warm colour type

Do you tan easily, rarely get sunburned, and have skin with yellowish undertones? That means you're a colour type best suited to warm, vibrant frame colours: deep red, brown, warm blue tones, peach, army green and dark green. If you have a darker skin tone, metal frames look great on you too, as do bright colours!

Cool colour type

If your skin has a pink, pale or olive undertone, you belong to the cool colour type. Cool colour types look best in cool shades like blue-grey, metallic, dark purple, grey-green and soft pink.

What suits your hair colour best?

Is your hair brown or dark blonde? Frames in dark, warm colours will flatter you beautifully and give you a warm overall look.
Blonde hair pairs best with light-coloured frames, grey tones, blue-grey and pastel shades.
Do you have gorgeous red hair? A green or dark brown frame will suit you perfectly!
If you have black hair, go for colours that really stand out, though frames with black or brown flecks work wonderfully too.

A light grey frame (the Juno model) is a wonderful match for Jasmijn's light blonde hair!

What suits your eye colour best

Want to stand out?

Choose a colour that's the opposite of your eye colour. Blue eyes pair beautifully with brown or copper-toned frames. Do you have brown eyes? Purple, red or light blue are spot on for you. Blue, violet and red frames go very well with grey eyes, and green eyes really shine with aubergine, deep red or warm brown frames.

Prefer a natural look?

For a more understated look, choose a frame that matches your eye colour, which works for every eye colour. Brown glasses give you a natural look if you have brown eyes, and glasses in shades of blue make blue eyes shine even more.

The best frame shape for your face

Round face shape

If you have a round face, you'll have a soft jawline and a rounded hairline. Your forehead is a little wider than your jaw, and your face is roughly as wide as it is long. Square frames look best on you, while round frames are best avoided.

Square face shape

If you have a wide forehead, a somewhat angular jaw and pronounced cheekbones, you have a square face. Round and oval glasses look really great on you! Steer clear of square, angular frames.

Heart-shaped face

A heart-shaped face has a wide forehead and a noticeably narrower chin. Wide, angular frames or aviator-style glasses look really cool on you!

Angular, rectangular face shape

Do you have a long face with a forehead that's roughly as wide as your cheekbones and jaw? This shape pairs beautifully with glasses that have rounded lines.

Oval face shape

An oval face is a long face with high cheekbones and a jaw that's narrower than the forehead. Does that sound like you? Congratulations: every frame shape suits you!

Rosalie has a more angular face shape. The round lines of the Juno model suit her best.
